Google Keep is Google's free note and list making application. You can add notes, lists, photos and audio from your phone, tablet or computer. Everything you add syncs across your devices making Keep convenient.  These notes and lists are easily shared with others, making it a great collaboration tool.


Evernote is a free tool that helps you organize your work. Use Evernote to:

  • Organize meeting notes
  • Organize research (with notes and connections)
  • Create to-do lists
  • Take and share pictures
  • Store voice recordings
  • Scan and save receipts
  • Store digital manuals and instructions for technology / electronics
  • Electronic lab notebook
  • Use as repository for all your reference / course materials


  • Tag content according to course or project
  • Add a bookmark / webclip button to your browser
  • Searchable content (search by tag, keyword, etc.)
  • Take notes on saved items (articles, website, products) 
  • Add attachments to notes
  • Organize items into notebooks or by tags (or both)
  • Share notebooks to collaborate with other people
  • Share notes to social media
  • Set reminders
  • Autosync notes between apps
